The LUKOIL delegation expressed their commitment to finalize the ongoing investment decision towards acquiring stakes in Nigerian fields in addition to actively recruiting locally, the vast talent in-country even as it expands its upstream portfolio.
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, H.E. Chief Timipre Sylva yesterday, received a high-powered delegation from LUKOIL, Russia’s second-largest crude producer led by Ivan Romanovsky, Vice President for the Americas, West Africa, and Europe.
The visit was a follow-up to the strategic business conversation that Chief Sylva had with Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL in the course of last week’s Russian Energy Week. Chief Sylva noted that this has signaled the renewal of the deepened collaborative bilateral relationship between Nigeria and Russia.
The LUKOIL delegation expressed their commitment to finalize the ongoing investment decision towards acquiring stakes from Brazil’s Petrobras in two Nigerian fields in addition to actively recruiting locally, the vast talent in-country even as it expands its upstream portfolio.
Other members of the LUKOIL delegation include; Andrey Smolin (Nigeria Upstream Asset Manager), Andrey Vaganov (Head of Department, Upstream Joint Interest Management for Americas, West Africa and Europe), Fabien Roy (Global Head of Business Development and Investments, Lukoil Trading and Supply), Olakunle Gidado (Head of Nigeria, Lukoil Trading and Supply) and Felix Jordan (Global Head of Trading, Lukoil Trading and Supply).
