Abiola Lukman Lawal

Dr. Abiola Lukman Lawal (A.L.L.), is a globally accomplished Energy , infrastructure, technology and corporate transformation executive with over 30 years of international leadership experience across Africa, the United States and Europe. He has served as Group Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) , Board Exexutive and Corporate Strategist,  consistently delivering business transformation, sustainable growth, complex transactions and long-term shareholder value.

As Group Managing Director/CEO of Eterna Plc, Dr. Lawal led one of the most successful corporate turnarounds in Nigeria’s energy industry, delivering the company’s strongest financial performance in its 35-year history. Under his leadership, revenue grew by over 70%, profitability increased by more than 180%, and shareholder value rose significantly, with the company’s share price appreciating by over 300%. His achievements earned him recognition as one of the BusinessDay Top 25 CEOs of Nigerian Listed Companies in 2024.

Dr. Lawal has extensive expertise across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas value chain, having worked with leading international energy companies, including Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron, ENI and BP. His experience spans mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, corporate finance, operational excellence, enterprise transformation and strategic leadership, including executing transactions exceeding US$1 billion.

His international career includes senior consulting roles with Ernst & Young and SAP America, advising global organisations on strategy, technology and business transformation. Dr. Lawal is the Founder and Chairman of Quorum Energy Group . He also currently serves as a Director of the Africa Energy Chamber and Chairman and Co-Founder of NeuroCom, an African digital infrastructure company focused on artificial intelligence, data centres and next-generation digital infrastructure.

Dr. Lawal holds a B.Sc. in Economics, an MBA from the University of California, Irvine, executive studies in Data Science and Generative AI from MIT, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration, earned with distinction, specialising in AI-enabled business decision-making and competitive advantage.
