The 3rd Edition of the NIPS Industry Award held in Abuja

The Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited; a fully-owned Subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation emerged as the Exploration and Production (E&P) Company of the Year 2019. Another Agency of the Ministry, the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board emerged as the Innovative Thinkers of the Year 2019.

The Ag. Head of Service of the Federation (Nigeria), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan who until recently, was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, was given a deserving Industry Recognition Award for her gigantic strides in the Oil and Gas Sector.

In a further bid to concretize H.E. Timipre Sylva’s #YearOfGas focus, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s Gas and Power Investment Company Limited today signed a $1.16 million grant agreement with U.S. Trade and Development Agency for the NNPC-Abuja Independent Power Project designed to generate 1,350MW of electricity.

The grant agreement signing was witnessed by the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mallam Mele Kyari and the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Mary Beth Leonard amongst other key stakeholders.
