William T. Drennen has a long, successful and impactful history spanning his 44-year career commercializing over a billion barrels of oil. His geoscience background consists of experience in exploration, production, corporate planning and research.
Since beginning his career in 1976 at Exxon in New Orleans as an exploration geoscientist, this proven oil finder has held a variety of professional and managerial positions of increasing responsibility in the US and internationally, in exploration, production and research. Key assignments have included District Geologist Onshore Texas & Exploration Manager for ExxonMobil over the Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea Norwegian sector as well as VP Geoscience for Exxon Mobil’s World Wide Upstream Research Company and VP Exploration for North and South America, with focus on the Barnett Shale, Texas.
In addition to his technical and managerial background, Bill has attended and taught at Thunderbird Business School, the Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University, IMD in Switzerland and various Harvard Business School programs.
