The African Energy Chamber is excited to announce the release of the African Energy Outlook 2021! The report explores the forces shaping up content’s energy market after the historic shock of 2020, and analyses the upcoming recovery on the back the global energy transition and persisting market uncertainties. After a year of historic crisis, the Outlook offers guidance and solutions for African energy stakeholders to navigate troubled waters and support a strong recovery in 2021 and beyond.

Africa Energy Outlook 2020

The African Energy Chamber (Chamber) successfully released its first Africa Energy Outlook 2020 report last year offering a comprehensive study of the continent’s energy sector and what it will take for Africa to reach prosperity through utilising its hydrocarbon resources.

The report, compiled to offer key insight on the oil, gas and power sectors, provided an overview of the role the industries play in accelerating growth developing competing global economies and identified upcoming opportunities that remain to be explored.

With that, the Chamber looks forward to launching its second instalment of the Africa Energy Outlook in November 2020. Providing a thorough look at the continent’s oil and gas sector, the 2021 Outlook shines a spotlight on key topics including fiscal regime, drilling activities, commodity oil and gas, carbon efficiency, production, cashflow and profit outlook, jobs outlook and more.

“We are excited to once again present this document to the industry,” said NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber. “We have worked extremely hard to ensure that we produce a strong roadmap to recovery backed up by detailed research that not merely touches on the surface by presenting the problem but rather, dives deep into how they can be addressed and what the next first steps are,” he added.
