Job Requirements:

We are looking for a Reservoir Engineer to join Trident Energy’s Bata office in Equatorial Guinea. Working as part of the Subsurface team you will provide forecasting, reserves assessment and provision of general reservoir engineering expertise.


Key Responsibilites:

• Handle surveillance of production, injection and pressure data.
• Assist in the building of an optimized drainage plan for all phases of development.
• Creation, development and maintenance of dynamic Reservoir models for major producing assets.
• Assist of developing the required forecasts for non-operated fields assessments (either based on operators, consultant, or internal modelling), supporting the development programs, reserves assessment and assessing alternative strategies
• Complete field development plans including documentation, representation and execution.
• Take on Role of operations engineer when required to do so.
• As a team member responsible for the development of forecasts (production/reserves) and plans (drill schedule/well targets/site selection) for field development
• Coordinate and support surface operations and facility engineering departments in all aspects of reservoir development planning, field performance and well optimization studies.


Desired Expertise and Skills:

• University degree / MSc in petroleum engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• At least 2 to 5 years experiences in sector and full-field reservoir simulation work for carbonate reservoirs.
• Reservoir Modeling experience
• Reservoir management skills including volumetric, risk and resource assessment, as well as, pressure transient analysis, log analysis (open hole and cased hole), nodal analysis and numerical simulation.
• Understanding of pressure-volume-temperature (PVT), geochemical and core analyses.
• Understanding of geological and geophysical work processes. Ability to integrate seismic, well data and reservoir engineering data to characterize reservoirs, identify and evaluate drilling opportunities.
• Experience in building and managing integrated production models using PROSPER, GAP, and MBAL.
• Strong trouble-shooting IT skills with dynamic simulators (eg. Eclipse),
• Good working experience with large spreadsheets (eg. Excel)
• Strong analytical skills
• Good working knowledge of uncertainty and risk analysis and good presentation skills & experience
• Relevant experience from working in a junior or more senior petroleum engineer position or other more operational oil field position for an operating company.
