Job Requirements:

Must have working knowledge of principles of electricity, electronics, general mechanics, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, and reciprocating and turbine engines as documented by completion of a GSE training course.
Preferred to have documented experience working at Journeyman level (5-level) or higher in Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 2A6X2, AEROSPACE GROUND EQUIPMENT, or Navy GSE Journeyman level experience.
Preferred experience on 25 NGSL (K-loaders) and ground handling equipment (GHE) inspection and maintenance.
Preferred knowledge of handling HAZMAT inventory
Candidate will be trained as Transient Alert and Crash Recovery Personnel.


Key Responsibilites:

Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician. Inspects, tests, maintains, repairs, and operates Aerospace Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to support aircraft. Services GSE with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance & repair on GSE. Uses visual and auditory senses, test equipment to include digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools, and technical publications to analysis, diagnoses, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic malfunctions, determine course of action to correct. Repairs malfunctions to include disassembly, repair, cleaning, treating for corrosion, re-assembly and re-install of GSE accessories and components by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications. Stencils and marks GSE, maintains inspection and service forms. Uses local Integrated Maintenance Plan (IMP) system to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), Navy, Air Force Manuals, and manufactures Instructions, and Technical Orders. Inspects and approves completed maintenance and repair actions. Stores, handles, uses, and disposes of hazardous material and waste according to environmental standards. Candidate will perform alternate duties and will be trained as Primary CHRIMP and chemical inventory specialist, as well airfield services as it relates to the GSE mechanic position (prior experience is preferred but not required for these alternate duties).

Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
